In a world where acceptance often feels conditional and love seems fleeting, it's easy to forget that we are deeply cherished and chosen by God.
People will show you different, including your loved ones, they will betray you, make you feel like you have to beg for their love, make you think 🤔 you are underserving, take advantage of your love or tender-heartedness… and regardless of what you do, nothing will be enough! You left broken and traumatized wondering if you are the problem… BUT!!!!
God's unfailing love and unwavering commitment to His children are repeatedly emphasized in His promises!
Jeremiah 31:3 - "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you."
God's love for us: it is eternal, unwavering, and unchanging. Before the foundation of the world, God set His affection upon us, and His love endures forever. No matter our flaws, failures, or shortcomings, God's love remains constant and unending.
Romans 8:38-39 - "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God. No matter what trials or tribulations we may face, God's love is steadfast and unbreakable. It transcends time, space, and circumstance, providing us with a firm foundation upon which we can stand secure. And so regardless of who says what?!
YOU ARE LOVED AND YOU ARE ENOUGH!!!
1 John 3:1 - "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are."
As children of God, we are heirs to His kingdom and recipients of His boundless love.
Our identity as beloved children of God is not contingent on our performance or achievements but is rooted in His grace and mercy. Through Christ, we have been adopted into God's family, and nothing can diminish the depth of His love for us.
Ephesians 1:4-5 - "Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will."
Before the world began, God chose us to be His own, setting us apart for His divine purposes. His selection of us is not arbitrary but is grounded in His infinite wisdom and love. Through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, we have been reconciled to God and welcomed into His family with open arms.
As we meditate on these scriptures, may we be reminded of the incomparable love that God has lavished upon us. We are not merely tolerated or accepted by God; we are deeply loved and chosen by Him. No matter what challenges or uncertainties we may face, may we find strength and assurance in the unchanging truth of God's love for us.
