A TIME OF LABOUR PAINS WARRIOR

Writer: Warrior WomanWarrior Woman

““Before she was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she delivered a son. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the Lord; “shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭66:7-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Oh Great Warrior!

There are pains that you have felt before from times past that might manifest again in this season. Even without you being aware of it, God is causing you to go into labour for there is something new to be birthed, not only in your life but in the nations.

Yes, to many warriors there might be anguish and pain as a woman in labour but the Lord says no birth can come until labour pains have occurred. And when labour occurs birth will follow. Your suffering will end with a delivery because the Lord will not impose travail on you without causing something new to be birthed.

As you face your labour pains, first of all inquire of the Lord if this is a battle that you have to fight or not as David did in 1 Samuel 30

“Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep. David’s two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel. And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David. And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭30:4-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

With all honesty, it can be a hard road to go to inquire when it’s your family in question because the enemy had captured David’s loved ones. But this is what makes Him a man after God’s heart. He wasn’t looking at Himself or what belonged to him. He first of all strengthen himself in the LORD and then inquired whether he should attack or not. This is a character God desires to build in all of us as warriors so that we can be called WARRIORS AFTER GOD’s OWN HEART.

This also has to do with more of you circumcising your flesh and it’s desires, emotions and wants.

As you travail and listen while dwelling in His word, a fresh new anointing will be poured on your head for the new season ahead for when the King is in the field. The next season is one that opens a bountiful harvest for the days ahead.

The pangs of pain will intensify every time you distance yourself from THE WORD. But the more you meditate on the word, the more you decide to listen to His word and obey, the more the labour pains will reduce. And this doesn’t mean that there won’t be birth but it means you are in communion with Him, THE KING, OUR COMMANDER.

Even though pain causes tears 😭 this is also a time to rejoice as new promises are being birthed and they will be so many that you won’t be able to inhabit them.

God’s command is to dwell and abide in this season. Stay and tally with Him.

““Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today,”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears: ‘The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’ Then you will say in your heart: ‘Who has borne me these? I was bereaved and barren, exiled and put away, but who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; from where have these come?’” Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.””

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49:20-23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Oh great warrior! This is a season to press through your narrow place by prayer, travail and intercession as you continue to listen in as Abba speaks.
