If you find yourself feeling low and depressed this season, I want to encourage you today that things are definitely going to be better. And I know you have heard this many times but your situation keeps getting worse… remember that in the book of Exodus, the children of Isreal even got more oppressed more by pharaoh when they were about to get out of Egypt.
““Do not supply any more straw for making bricks. Make the people get it themselves! But still require them to make the same number of bricks as before. Don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy. That’s why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifices to our God.’ Load them down with more work. Make them sweat! That will teach them to listen to lies!””
Exodus 5:7-9 NLT
The last statement of the scripture says “That will teach them to listen to lies “
The more the devil oppresses you, the more you are being taught to believe the enemies lies! What does this all mean? As the situation gets tougher, you are forced to believe that it shall never be better. But did this mean that God wasn’t going to deliver?
“Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.”
Isaiah 59:1 NLT
God had foreseen that pharaoh would become stubborn and it’s the same thing with you… remember the prophetic words that God have you, He said He would deliver and His promise still stands.
““But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand forces him. So I will raise my hand and strike the Egyptians, performing all kinds of miracles among them. Then at last he will let you go.”
Exodus 3:19-20 NLT
God’s mighty hand is still at work to force the enemy to let go of you in this season because this is a season of redemption and deliverance but you have got to work hard into changing your mindset and refuse to believe the enemy’s lies. If you had believed them, then you have got to take steps into unlearning his lies! This takes work on your part, a lot of prayer, reading scripture and casting down strongholds.
“We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NLT
Choose to take charge of your mind (your thinking) by praying against mental bondages which include thoughts, reasonings and arguments. This is the time for a mindset change, but you can only achieve this through deliverance. Once you have gone through deliverance, your eyes will open to so many things especially the devil’s tricks and weapons.
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””
John 8:32 NLT
The truth is you are a child of God and He loves you regardless of what you may be going through. The presence of hardships doesn’t mean we should give up, but if we fight harder and make a choice not to give up, we can always make it with God on our side! I say this because I am a single mom of 3 girls & I have a big testimony to share of how God delivered me from the pit of hell. I have fought so many battles through prayer and I made an allegiance to God and my children that I would never give up on them because I know that God has given me the authority, the same authority He has given all His children!

God is able and willing to change your situation if you let Him, I did and today I can testify that God has been faithful!
