HEALING ❤️‍🩹 FROM THE HURT OF BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF…

Writer: Warrior WomanWarrior Woman

In a world marked by brokenness and betrayal, many of us have experienced the deep pain of being mistreated and taken advantage of by others. Whether it's the sting of betrayal from a trusted friend or the exploitation by those in positions of power or being taken advantage of by the person you love, the wounds inflicted by such actions can leave lasting scars on our hearts and souls.

Betrayal is a visceral and soul-crushing experience that shakes the very foundation of our trust and faith in others. Throughout the Bible, we encounter stories of individuals who endured the agony of betrayal, from Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his own brothers, to Jesus, who was betrayed by one of his closest disciples, Judas Iscariot. These narratives remind us that even the most righteous and virtuous among us are not immune to the pain of betrayal.

Despite the pain of betrayal, the Bible teaches us the transformative power of forgiveness. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus declares, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." These words remind us that forgiveness is not only an act of grace but also a prerequisite for experiencing God's forgiveness in our own lives. By releasing the burden of resentment and choosing to forgive those who have wronged us, we open ourselves to healing and restoration.

In moments of injustice and exploitation, it can be tempting to seek revenge or take matters into our own hands. However, the Bible urges us to trust in God's perfect justice and timing. In Romans 12:19, the apostle Paul writes, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'" This admonition reminds us that justice ultimately belongs to God, and He will right every wrong in His own time and way.

As followers of Christ, we are called to embody the principles of love, mercy, and righteousness in our daily lives. In Ephesians 5:8-10, Paul exhorts believers to "walk as children of light... and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord." By walking in the light of God's truth and love, we can overcome the darkness of mistreatment and exploitation, knowing that we are guided and protected by His divine grace.

As we journey through life's trials and tribulations, may we find strength and solace in the enduring promises of God's Word. Choose to believe what God says in His word every day… And do not let those people’s behavior make you feel less of a person than you really are.
