STEPS OF BLOODLINE CLEANSING

STEPS OF CLEANSING BLOODLINES

REPENTANCE

Repentance is the action of sincere and genuine regret or remorse for what we have done wrong. When we are remorseful, we have to show deep regret and it has to hurt deep in our hearts of how much we have wronged God. we put ourselves in his position and also remember how it hurt when someone else hurt us.

“Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting. Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you!”

‭‭James (Jacob)‬ ‭4:8-10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

As we embark on a journey of knowing our true identity in Christ and His purpose in our lives, we ought to pursue an intimate love relationship with Abba through repentance which requires us to approach His throne with boldness.

As it is written in Hebrews 4:15-16

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

As we approach Abba, we must fully recognize and confess our sins because our God is a holy God and He desires that come to Him with purified hearts, thoughts, motives and desires.

There are intructions in this scripture that describe repentance to us;

• Keep your heart pure

• Stop doubting

• Feel the pain of your sin (being sorrowful and weeping)

• Let your joking around be turned to mourning

• Allow to be humiliated

• Be willing to be made low before the Lord and He will exalt you

There has got to be an outward manifestation of inner sorrow over our sin. And this includes our unbelief, stubbornness and rebellion.

“God designed us to feel remorse over sin in order to produce repentance that leads to victory. This leaves us with no regrets. But the sorrow of the world works death.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭TPT

Our remorse over sin is supposed to lead to victory that’s why many times, we don’t need to fight any battles or do any spiritual warfare about certain things especially in our bloodline. Many times, we receive deliverance through repentance alone.

Everyone who has received salvation or confessed Jesus has got to go through the repentance process then get to another step of deliverance.

True repentance cannot occur apart from such a genuine sorrow over one’s sin. In other words, repentance is at the very heart of and proves your salvation. As children of God, we are supposed to repent of sins continually to keep the joy and blessing of the relationship to God.

“But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin. If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:7-8‬ ‭TPT

4 steps of repentance

• Responsibility - we must recognize that we have done wrong

• Regret – we must have true remorse for doing wrong and for the pain and problems we have caused.

• Resolve – we must be committed never to repeat the act regardless of the temptations or situation.

• Repair – this is probably the most difficult but we have got to repair the damage we have done. this also involves showing people around how changed we are.

Exodus 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

When repenting, we not only repent for ourselves, we repent for everyone around us including our children, husbands, wives, family members, friends and whoever else the lord speaks to us about.

Exodus 34:6-9 The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped. And he said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us, for it is a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

We have to repent for our forefathers to the third and forth generation from both our mother and father’s sides because God visits all their iniquity. We certainly do not know what are fathers did or how they sinned against God. some of us have found that the same issues that our parents had have come to us too. And so there are familiar spirits that bring uniformity from our bloodline.
